Eeland Stribling

FLY FISHERMAN AND EDUCATOR

The Fliest Fisherman

Meet Eeland Stribling, a Colorado native whose love for fly fishing is as big as the mountains he calls home. With a degree in Conservation and Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University, Eeland's got the chops to back up his passion for nature.

After a stint at Colorado Parks and Wildlife, where he now volunteers like it's going out of style, Eeland decided to take matters into his own hands. His mission? Getting more kids hooked on the great outdoors. Whether he's casting lines internationally or teaching minority communities closer to home, Eeland's all about making fly fishing—and wildlife—accessible to everyone.

Oh, did we mention he's also a film star? Yep, Eeland's reel talent earned him top honors at The Drake Fly Fishing Video Awards. Not bad for a guy named after an African antelope, huh?

So, if you're ever in need of a fishing buddy or a dose of wilderness wisdom, Eeland's your guy. Just don't be surprised if he's already knee-deep in a stream somewhere, reeling in the big ones.

Fittingly, Eeland was named after the largest African antelope, “eland.”

We’re empowering BIPOC individuals and the community we have grown up in, to explore and enjoy nature through Fly-fishing

Welcome to a community-driven organization built by and for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) in the fishing world. Here at our space, we're all about fostering connections and expanding access for BIPOC communities in the fishing industry.

Our approach goes beyond just catching fish; it's about reimagining fishing as a pathway to conservation. We recognize that traditional conservation frameworks often overlook the rich histories and connections that BIPOC individuals have with fishing, land, water, and community. That's why we're rewriting the narrative, reclaiming stories, and celebrating the deep-rooted relationships that BIPOC folks have with the natural world.

Through storytelling, grassroots organizing, events, and community-building, we're not just surviving—we're thriving. Join us as we cast a new vision for fishing, one that's inclusive, equitable, and filled with stoke for all. Let's make waves together!
